In fact, a sprayer can do a much better job. Yes, brushing can help “work” paints and stains into cracks and irregular surfaces, but, so can a sprayer. So if I’m going to paint a medium-sized room, a bookcase, or even a fence, my tendency will be to grab a brush and standard roller, especially if I want the control that a brush gives me I just won’t be interested in the work involved to set up and clean a paint sprayer. I absolutely hate to clean up after painting. My bottom line: easy to use for a great finish I admit it -I’m as lazy as the next guy. It will save tons of time and money with a little preparation and practice.
Overall I think this sprayer is an excellent investment to get intermediate painters through large projects. It is also difficult to clean the hose to for the sprayer and you likely will have water stuck in the hose unless you take an extra 15-20 minutes to run air through the unit and let it spray out. Wagner may want to consider a water hose connection in the future to make cleanup easier.

If it is not tight enough it will loosen and you will end up with a leak and paint all over the area you sat the sprayer. Best to pack some headphones or earplugs while using, it also does have a lot of vibration, which you will need to be very sure to tighten the sprayer hose to the unit with a wrench. First thing that is noticeable when you turn it on, is the unit is LOUD. It has a cover over the end so it will not suck up any lumps or particles. The feed tubing is pre-bent to fit in a 5 gallon bucket which is convenient to keep it from wiggling around while in use. Has a convenient handle for carrying and is very easy to assemble and use. Overall the sprayer is well designed and built very sturdy.
The power cord is very short so you definitely will need to pack an extension cord for convenience. The sprayer is lightweight and very portable, the hose for the sprayer gun is a really good length which when transporting can make it a little cumbersome, but this is not a problem given the length gives you excellent flexibility to move around large spaces without dragging the main unit.
